Description: Dr. Heather L. McCarthy has written and published articles about Ramesside queensâ€™ tombs, ancient Egyptian afterlife beliefs regarding women, New Kingdom kingsâ€™ tombs, and Egyptian temple cosmology. She is currently the deputy director of the New York University Epigraphic Expedition to the Ramesses II Temple at Abydos.
