Description: Dr. Heather L. McCarthy has written and published articles about Ramesside queens’ tombs, ancient Egyptian afterlife beliefs regarding women, New Kingdom kings’ tombs, and Egyptian temple cosmology. She is currently the deputy director of the New York University Epigraphic Expedition to the Ramesses II Temple at Abydos.
