Description: ARCE Director Dr. Gerry Scott will provide an update on political events in Egypt over the past year and the implications that these developments have for American scholarly research in the country. Among topics discussed will be the toppling of the Morsi government, US/Egyptian relations, security issues and tourism, the Ministry of State for Antiquities, antiquities sites, ARCE projects, ARCE member fieldwork, and ARCE fellows. After sharing his observations, Dr. Scott will allow time for questions from the audience.

This list aims to help art and heritage professionals and law enforcement officials identify Egyptian objects that are protected by national and international legislations.
