EXCURSION: El Gara Cave and the White Desert
Come join ARCE and an expert guide on a safari to El Gara Cave, a natural hollow formed by rain in the Eocene limestone (55 million years ago). Water dissolved the limestone to form beautiful stalagtites and stalagmites.  Prehistoric people lived in the cave probably during late Neolithic period as evidenced by artifacts and rock art found in the cave.
